AS SEEN In Mens Fitness US Edition & On TV in Japan which has used the “time-lapse” portion of this video in a 5-minute profile on my fast weight loss journey that was broadcast on national TV to 5,000,000 people.

They filmed me in my house taking a daily picture, in the gym and eating clean! If you want to watch this clip go to my blog listed above.

The reason I am saying this here is because of the “it’s fake” comments I get. THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS VIDEO: First and foremost I want to thank the overwhelmingly positive feedback and comments to this video.

Secondly, I am not “special” and neither is the transformation. Thousands of people all over the world do this kind of thing all the time (myself included, 7 years ago). This transformation has more to do with the mind than the body. The body is merely a physical representation of your daily thoughts and actions.

Anyway, a lot of people have commented on the “unbelievable” fat loss from my first picture in black shorts and my official Day 1 picture. Just to clear it up, if you watch the video closely you can clearly see that I state that the first picture is from July 2003.

My “Day 1″ picture is 3 and a half years later on November 8, 2006 as evidenced by the date on the newspaper (which you can see in the video clearly if you pause it.)

The primary goal of taking pictures and blogging every day was not to make a video. The reason why I started this project was a way of holding myself accountable. 7 years ago I was in shape, then I lost the plot big-time.

I then spent 6 years overweight and at times bordering on obese like in the picture from July 2003. Trust me, I have enough “before pictures” to fill a family album.

This time I decided to try something different. Take a picture every day (except for a few rest days). Taking a picture every day motivated me to push through the pain barrier every workout because I knew I had to take a picture that evening.

Now of course, once I finished the 12 weeks I was proud of my achievement and I did have a new-found confidence after 6 years of being out of shape. The reason I put this “time lapse compliation” video on YouTube was in the hope it could inspire some people out there who are overweight and want to change their life. This video does not promote anything, except for taking massive action on your dreams!

This transformation is consistent with eating clean and working out hard. It is not amazing, nor is it rocket science. But there are no “magic bullets”, no supplements and no “secret workout routines” that will do the job for you.

A little necessary information…

There are Myths and there are Science Based Results!  Which one are you using?

As with any Myth, there is some (universal) truth there… but do we know what it is?

So let’s begin with the Myths!

 

  • If I could only control my eating then I would be at my Ideal Weight.
  • If only I exercised more then I would be slimmer.
  • I need to eliminate fat from my diet.
  • I need to eliminate carbohydrates from my diet.
  • There is an Ideal Diet that works for everyone.
  • If only I drank more water then I would be fitter.
  • If I had a better job (less stressful) then I would be able to exercise more.
  • If only I (Fill in the blank!) then I would look better.

What is your favorite Myth? Excuse? Justification?

Whats the better weight loss supplement?

I am wondering which product is better for weight loss. Either Atrophex or Orvo Detox i want to lose about 15-20 pounds and ive heard great reviews about both of these products.

dont do the free trial of acai berry. They will continue to charge your card when you dont want them to and they give you fake numbers so you cant get a hold of them.

Can just walking alone help me lose the weight I want off?

I'm like 115 pounds or so and I'm 5'2''. I probably don't need to lose the weight but at the same time I have stopped being physically active which can only hurt me in the long run. I've started walking around my neighborhood for an hour so my parents will get me a membership to a gym. But does walking solely help to lose weight maybe just like 5 or so pounds? Just curious. I would think that someone who jogged for an hour was more successful…thanks! :]

Weight loss is a not a goal of many people. Fat loss is usually the goal people seek. The difference is immense. Close your eyes and picture the body you want. If you have that body but the scale said your weight was 125, would you be happy?

So, fat loss is your goal. Would walking help? Yes. Will it be very effective? No.

You need a to eat well and exercise. You want to retain lean mass while decreasing fat mass.

The bottom line, if you want to lose "weight," eat less calories then you burn daily. If you want the great body, you need to utilize many tools (exercise techniques and diet) to achieve your goal.

i need a weight loss pill
because i need to lose 10 pounds buy february 1
so i can preform in my dance recital i cant weigh above 120 and i weigh 132
so i am already exersizing i eat right, and healthy, but im not LOSING weihgt i am simply maintaining it
so i am trying a weight loss pill
but i cant order it online for impaticular reasons
so i need to buy it in a store
but what stores sell them??!!!

I would cut your hair short. You can lose up to 3 pounds from that. Seriously, I know my tricks.

How can I lose weight without running or fast walking?

I am a 25 year old male, who is in a military branch… About two months ago I broke my leg… I am obviosly not able to run… Now my weight is becoming a concern… I am a bigger sized guy with a bigger sized appetite… I want to become solid again and lose fat without running… I am able to work-out the upper half of my body but can not workout my legs yet… What exactly can I do…

u can take diet pills or eat those 1 foods that r good 4 u!!!

I am quite large in the mid-section, and I want to lose it fast. However it seems like I lose my weight everywhere else but there. Any diet or exercise tips for losing in that section?

lots of crunches! i do 1000 a day. try by doing 300/day. 100 morning, 100 evening, 100 in night. i also do "3 inches." it's a grueling stomach exercize but works great. you lay down on your back. put hands under your butt. lift legs 3 inches off ground and hold for a 25 seconds. then put legs back on ground and repeat. i do this for about 10-15 minutes but you might want to start with only 10 sets.

What is the best way to determine your ideal body weight without an specialized tools?

I am well aware of the many BMI calculators but I was wondering if there were any other ways of determining your ideal body weight? I just don't feel like the BMI calculators are accurate as they don't account for many factors.

The best way to determine your ideal body weight is to look in the mirror. If you like what you see, then your weight is ok. If you don't, then do what you need to do to change it.
